The Biblical stories of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ reveal a clear and unambiguous preference for the role of women disciples in the four Gospels. This talk invites us to look again at some of the many moments of divine intimacy with women in the earthly life of Jesus and beyond.

Franciscan Father Ed Shea has spent most of his priesthood in parish work (St. Giles Family Mass Community in Oak Park, IL, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Joliet, IL, St. Joseph Parish, a predominantly Hispanic community). He has preached internationally in Mexico, Central America and Tanzania, Africa. Presently, he resides at Franciscan Inner City Mission where he continues to be involved in a lot of bilingual ministry in the Gary/Chicago area and beyond. A Franciscan priest who loves to sing and tell stories, more than anything he thrives on celebrating the sacraments of the Church. A true follower of St. Francis, Father Ed finds reasons to rejoice often in the goodness of God’s presence in our world.
