We will gather as one community to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si, with prayer, art, readings, music, and reflection! Let’s celebrate all we have accomplished and continue to create a future that honors our connection with each other to protect and care for our common home! Celebrate & Pray with us!

Join us for an inspiring lineup:

  • Eco-Poetry Reading: A Nazareth Academy student will share their eco-poetry.
  • Student Speaker: Hear from a Nazareth Academy student about the school’s initiatives to promote Laudato Si.
  • Congregation of St. Joseph: Discover the impactful actions taken by the congregation.
  • Art by Mary Southard: Experience soul-stirring art that resonates deeply.
  • Global Perspectives: A writer from Earth Beat of the National Catholic Reporter will highlight the worldwide impact of Laudato Si.
  • Music by Sr. Kathy Sherman: Enjoy music that brings us into communion and celebrates our common home.

Kathy Sherman, CSJ is a writer, singer and activist who believes that all life is permeated with the sacred. She is passionate about writing music that fosters hope and healing for our world. Kathy is deeply committed to working for non-violence, racial justice and advocating for the protection and healing of our planet, especially through songwriting. She has published music over five decades that is cherished around.
