The Well Spirituality Center Welcomes New Executive Director, Luke Sullivan

La Grange Park, IL – September 12, 2024 – The Well Spirituality Center is pleased to announce Luke Sullivan as our new Executive Director, effective September 16, 2024.

Luke Sullivan brings a wealth of experience in community building, advocacy, and nonprofit management. With over 12 years at Arise Chicago and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from DePaul University, he has consistently exemplified impactful leadership. As an Associate of the Congregation since 2016 and a former member of The Well’s Board of Directors, he is deeply committed to our mission.

In his new role, he will provide strategic direction, operational management, and team leadership to ensure the mission of the Congregation of St. Joseph is embodied in all aspects of The Well. He will collaborate with the Board of Directors to implement strategic plans, oversee program development and financial management, and lead a team of employees and volunteers. Additionally, he will act as a public representative, build relationships with supporters and donors, and direct fundraising efforts to support The Well’s initiatives.

In a statement from our Board Chairperson, Guy Vaccaro, he expressed his confidence and gratitude for our new leader:

“I believe our prayers have been answered and that he will lead us confidently and faithfully into a new era for The Well.”

Luke Sullivan’s success at Arise Chicago, where he built multi-faith partnerships and raised significant funds, showcases his ability to unite diverse communities and secure essential resources. His leadership as President of the Board of Trustees for Dominican Volunteers USA further highlights his strategic oversight and commitment to nonprofit missions. These experiences will translate seamlessly into his new role, where he will provide strategic direction and foster collaboration at The Well Spirituality Center.

Luke shared his heartfelt belief in the mission of The Well and its urgent relevance today. He emphasized:

“I truly believe that the mission of The Well is needed now more than ever. My hope and prayer are that we all will continue to have the courage to say what needs to be said, and do what needs to be done, to further the mission of unity and oneness into our too often broken world.”

With Luke’s inspiring vision and leadership, The Well is excited to enter a new era.
