Come for a day-long practice of Pilgrimage on the land at Christ in the Wilderness, Stockton, IL. With preparation and practices place, we spend the day both alone in silence and together in ceremony on these sacred grounds of hills, meadows, and forest. Transportation can be arranged, if needed.

Facilitators: Ellen Wiggins, Bob Kent, and Lisa Hjorth

Ellen Wiggins is a graduate of Seminary of the Wild and an ordained eco-minister. Active in the Wild Church Network, she has led contemplative meditation circles and co-facilitated earth-based gatherings through Wild Belongings, celebrating the Celtic Wheel of the Year. She is a long-time supporter of The Well.

Bob Kent recently graduated from seminary and will be ordained as an interfaith minister in October 2024. He loves the Universe Story and Celtic Christianity and is an alumnus of Richard Rohr’s Living School at the Center for Action and Contemplation. He serves The Well as Facilitator of Spiritual Community.

Lisa Hjorth has been retreating at Christ in the Wilderness for over 17 years. She has served on the board for the past 6 years and is the current board chair. Nature and ALL creatures provide the greatest source of energy and awe for Lisa. She is an active member of the Conservation Foundation, parish ministries, transitional housing, a homeless shelter, and her alumni community. Lisa graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a PhD in Organizational Behavior Management.
