We are excited to invite you to come and experience Haman Cross III’s painting “Unrequited Love” on display at The Well until February 20th. This moving artwork depicts a suffering Christ who weeps at the societal and individual cross of systemic racism, yet longs that Love can still bear fruit in racial reconciliation and reparation in our country.
This is a unique opportunity to spend time with the painting, pray with it, and reflect on what it stirs within your heart. We encourage you to write your own prayers and share them with the community!
Learn more about the painting and find reflection questions for personal journaling and prayer by clicking here.
The painting is on display at The Well Spirituality Center in Room 262. To ensure the room is available, please reach out to thewell@csjoseph.org. Our regular business hours are 9 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday.
Feel inspired to lean in even more? Join ourĀ Unrequited Love |Peace Circles on Thursdays in February facilitated by Fr. Dowling and inspired by the artwork and insights of Mr. Cross. Engage in insights, prayer, reflection, and personal sharing to build a foundation for understanding privilege and addressing systemic racism as active Christians. Registration closes on February 5.
