Performance of Neil Simon’s RUMORS at the Theatre of Western Springs on May 31 to benefit The Well Spirituality Center
With renovation underway at the Congregation of St. Joseph’s Mother House on Ogden Avenue, it was not looking promising for The Well Spirituality Center to be able to host its annual fundraiser this year. The annual gala had been a major community event, usually celebrated in conjunction with Saint Patrick’s Day, and a source of vital financial support underwriting The Well’s educational programming. With building renovations in full swing, the fundraiser is needed more than ever.
“Then, Thom Serafin, contacted me one day this Spring and offered to underwrite an evening at the local theatre,” recalls Bridget Sperduto, the Executive Director at The Well. “He spoke of the importance of gathering community, which is a core value of The Well. What an amazing gesture and an answer to prayer – truly!” Thom and Ann Serafin, beloved LaGrange Park residents and friends of The Well, have made arrangements for The Theatre of Western Springs to present a preview performance of Neil Simon’s RUMORS on May 31, 2017, the night before the theatre’s company’s eleven-day run. 100% of the ticket sales for the preview performance will benefit The Well Spirituality Center.
“A Night at the Theatre” includes a wine, cheese and chocolate reception before the performance along with gift card pulls and a handful of raffle items — sports tickets, private Rana Pasta dinner for 6, a Red Flyer Wagon filled with children’s fun, and more!
The Well Spirituality Center is a non-profit organization sponsored by the Congregation of St. Joseph. Through workshops and retreats, spiritual direction, and mind-body-spirit activities, The Well is a welcoming place that fosters an awakening to our unity with the Divine, One Another, and all Creation. For more than 17 years The Well has been generously feeding the community’s soul. Now the community has an opportunity to help The Well as it looks to its future of greater service!
Tickets for the evening are $30 and can be purchased online at csjthewell.org or by calling The Well office at 708-482-5048.
