Ego, Education, and Cultural Transformation: A Journey Toward Healing Our Planet

February 5 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Ready to rethink the dominant culture’s idea of what it means to be human? This dynamic online experience invites you to dive deep into the heart of our spiritual, ecological, and educational challenges—and discover how we can rise to meet them.

Together, we’ll explore how the ego shapes our lives and our world, guided by the powerful insights of Bill Plotkin, Steve Taylor, and Thomas Merton. Their wisdom helps illuminate a path from ego-centered adolescence to a more connected, eco-centered adulthood.

But we won’t stop there. You’ll be introduced to bold, transformative alternatives to Euro-American approaches to education—like Transformative Learning Theory, the Inner Development Goals (IDGs), and the rich tradition of Bildung. These approaches, rooted in personal growth and inner cultivation, resonate deeply with Indigenous teachings and ecological wisdom.

This isn’t just a presentation—it’s an invitation to reimagine human development. To move beyond ego, embrace spiritual depth, and step into a future where we belong to a thriving, interconnected world.
